How Important it is to Share With Neighbors
No man is an island, John Donne said. This quotation of his has lived thousands of years and until now. If we'd analyze it, it really is a fact though it's told figuratively. People need each other in order to exist. Since then, the importance of sharing with the neighborhood has been considered a great virtue.
Why is it good to share? First, by sharing the things and stuff you don't need, you have planted a love to your neighbor's heart. You may not know it but it may touch her heart and when the time comes that you need something, she maybe able to help you also. But, I am not telling you to expect anything in return. Second, it's environment-friendly to share. If your neighbor needs the things that you don't need anymore, then giving it to her means a positive act that's equivalent to recycling. Instead of throwing them away, you have made your neighbor happy.
If you come from a country where people are busy with their own life, you may find it a bit tough but you still can be able to share. First thing to do is smile. Your smile opens up a conversation which then would lead to friendship. By being friendly, you'll be able to exchange positive thoughts and possibly things and stuff in the future. If you have the same religion then you also can agree to go to church together. In that way, you are building a friendship and trust that's godly. If you have special occasion, you can invite your neighbors to come over. There are a lot more of subtle ways in which you can offer friendship and share something to your neighbors. Besides, your neighbors are the ones you can ask for immediate help during unexpected emergencies esp. if your family or relatives are living miles away from you.
