Help Your Neighborhood By Sharing
In the current economic state here in the Canada., many people do not have money to buy the basic necessities. They may live in nice homes in the nicest of neighborhoods, but barely have enough money to pay for utilities or food. Many people are doing well by all appearances, but those can be deceiving. If you do not take the time to reach out to your neighbors, you really do not know what they are going through.
That is why when you see a house in disrepair or a yard that is somewhat unkempt, it may not be due to laziness. If your neighbor does not have the tools to keep his or her house looking like the other houses around it, it may not be possible to get the work done. Not everyone has money to hire someone or buy tools, so if you have some that you are not using, you should offer to give or loan them.
Neighborhoods that share tools and other items like lawnmowers are often closer knit than other neighborhoods. The neighbors know each other by name, and if someone falls on hard times they are able to come together and help. These neighborhoods are often safer than other neighborhoods as well because any suspicious activity is noticed sooner than in a neighborhood where no one knows their neighbors.
Sharing tools and other items can help to bring up the value of the neighborhood as well. Houses that are in need of repair and uncut lawns bring down property values in the neighborhood and make it hard to get a good asking price if anyone wishes to sell a house.
Making sure that your neighbors have what they need to maintain a decent house and yard can help them as well as others. Remember, you may find that you need someone in the neighborhood to share with you some day.
